Why Latin?

The reason Bannister teaches Latin is because we can.

Latin is an essential component of any Classical Education program. Latin is taught, no so much as a spoken language, but for the intellectual rigor, it necessitates.

The study of Latin teaches students how to think critically and analytically, and how to handle concepts with ease. Many studies have shown that mastery of Latin also helps with the study of higher mathematics, as both subjects discipline the minds of students to work with abstract concepts following a certain structure and rigor.
